UT-1 Communication Unit
UT-1 is a universal-type communication unit compatible with certain models of Nikon D-SLRs. It incorporates wired LAN function only, but can be upgraded to wireless LAN functionality by combining it with the WT-5 Wireless Transmitter.
UT-1 is a universal-type communication unit compatible with certain models of Nikon D-SLRs. It incorporates wired LAN function only, but can be upgraded to wireless LAN functionality by combining it with the WT-5 Wireless Transmitter. Designed to enable communication between the camera and a network it supports IEEE 802.3u (100 base-TX)/IEEE 802.3 (10 base-T) as a standalone unit, and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n in combination with WT-5 wireless transmitter. The transmitter attaches to the camera’s accessory shoe (hot-shoe), or alternatively to the optional SK-7 bracket and is powered by EN-EL15 battery. UT-1 enables the creation of camera networks with remote image browsing and download capability. Remote control of the camera settings and LiveView output is possible with a computer on which Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 software is installed.
